Project Harbinger

Background
The U.S. Navy is initiating Project Harbinger, which aims to leverage existing end-to-end deep learning model development pipelines across multiple lines of effort in a SECRET cloud environment. The project is designed to support critical mission sets including submarine operations, Maritime Patrol Reconnaissance Aircraft, and Integrated Undersea Surveillance. The goal is to deploy advanced models to the tactical edge, enhancing operational capabilities.

Work Details
The contract involves the following tasks and services:

1) Leveraging existing deep learning model development pipelines;
2) Deploying models to the tactical edge for submarine and maritime operations;
3) Managing data processes including uploading, processing, labeling, splitting, validating, testing & evaluating models;
4) Visualizing models and exporting them for end-user feedback;
5) Operating within two authorized environments: Harbinger impact level (IL) 6 and AUKUS common development environment (CDE);
6) Supporting generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) use cases across the undersea enterprise. The project requires unique capabilities that only AWS can provide due to its established infrastructure and services that align with the project's needs.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in a SECRET cloud environment, specifically within the Harbinger IL6 environment and AUKUS common development environment.
