Description

The purpose of this amendment is to post an clarification to the Request for Information Questions and Answers.

The Proposal due date remains August 11, 2025, at 2:30PM EST.

All other terms and conditions remain the same.

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this contract for the installation of air-cooled chillers at the Chalmer Wylie Columbus VA Ambulatory Care Center. The goal of the contract is to enhance the facility's HVAC capabilities, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients and staff. This project is identified as Project 757-23-101.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the removal of the existing roof deck and installation of new steel to support air-cooled chillers. Specific tasks involve:
- Cutting a hole in the roof deck measuring 3 feet across, with additional width required for safe access and protection of underlying areas.
- All work must occur above the ceiling within the building envelope during off-hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, and Saturday and Sunday from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Contractors must provide at least 3 business days' notice for any work requiring scheduling during these off-hours.
- The contractor will have sufficient access to perform work in the designated area above the ceiling as confirmed by the AE/COR.
