Background
The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) is seeking sources to award a firm fixed price design contract for Architect-Engineering (A-E) services. The goal of this contract is to develop complete construction documents, including working drawings, specifications, and reports for Project #619-112, which involves the addition of a Fire Department at the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System located in Tuskegee, AL. This project aims to enhance healthcare services provided to veterans by improving the facilities of the fire department.

Work Details
The A/E services required include:

1. Professional Architect/Engineer and healthcare planning services to verify existing conditions and prepare contract working drawings and specifications for Project No. 619-112.

2. Conduct surveys, testing, and site analysis studies, including civil, geotechnical, structural, architectural investigations and environmental hazard assessments.

3. Prepare contract drawings and specifications through schematic design, design development, and final construction documents.

4. Provide construction period services such as reviewing submittals and shop drawings, third-party asbestos monitoring, commissioning, and record drawings based on contractor red-line as-builts.

5. Coordinate site visits with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), allowing for up to 20 visits during construction with documented field reports detailing each visit's purpose and results.

The contract will be performed at the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System, East Campus located at 2400 Hospital Road, Tuskegee, AL 36083.
