Background
The Memphis VA Medical Center has a requirement for hospital construction services for Project 614-18-115, Renovate Operating Rooms. The project scope involves renovating approximately 7,000 square feet of the original surgery department, replacing existing operating rooms and adjacent support spaces, and incorporating flexibility into the design to permit surgical staff to adapt service delivery to changing needs. The available space for this project is limited, and the opportunity to accommodate additional functional and staffing needs is also limited. The estimated range of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary tools, labor, materials, equipment, permits, license, supervision, and quality control to renovate operating rooms at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Memphis TN. The project scope includes the renovation of approximately 7,000 square feet of the original surgery department.
General, ENT, Cardiothoracic, Robotics and Neurosurgical operating rooms will replace existing ORs 2, 3, 4 and 5. The renovation will include replacement of adjacent support spaces and finish upgrades of the remaining sterile areas.
The project also requires lead and asbestos abatement in phases.
The contractor shall complete the work required under this SOW in a total of 540 calendar days or less from the date of Notice to Proceed.
