Project# 501-21-101: Repair Sterile Processing Service (SPS) & Upgrade Equipment Area

Project# 501-21-101 shall replace repair Sterile Processing Service (SPS) equipment items, upgrade flooring, upgrade walls and ceiling tile materials. The SPS service space is 11,000 SF overall. The procurement and setup (including support systems) of (2) temporary Steris Sterilizer Trailers or equal and the supporting systems, including air-conditioned covered walkways, piping systems for DCW, DHW, waste, vent, and fire protection, with emergency generator power.

Background
The New Mexico VA Healthcare System (NMVAHCS) has a requirement for Project 501-21-101: Repair Sterile Processing Service (SPS) Sewer & Upgrade Equipment Area. The project is to replace SPS equipment items, upgrade flooring, upgrade walls and ceiling tile materials. The SPS service space is 11,000 SF overall. The procurement and setup of (2) temporary Steris Sterilizer Trailers or equal and the supporting systems, including air-conditioned covered walkways, piping systems for DCW, DHW, waste, vent, and fire protection, with emergency generator power.

Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish all supervision, tools, labor, training, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to accomplish the work. The work includes general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary demolition and removal of existing structures and certain other items necessary for completion. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications and drawings of the solicitation and all applicable local and VA building codes.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the New Mexico VA Healthcare System (NMVAHCS) located at 1501 San Pedro Drive SE, Albuquerque New Mexico.
