Background
NASA is a world recognized leader in space exploration and scientific research. Protecting these symbols from misappropriation protects the goodwill that NASA has fostered around the world through its dedication to public engagement in scientific discovery and exploration of outer space. This public reliance is what enables NASA to fully capitalize on the goodwill it has earned from the global community to seek new ideas and new solutions to our toughest problems.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform the following duties: Register and maintain NASA trademarks and copyrights outside the United States. Marks and works to be registered and maintained include: NASA Insignia, NASA Logotype, NASA acronym, and others as directed by NASA.
Countries and organizations where marks and works may be registered and maintained include: countries that are signatories to the Artemis Accords, countries that participate in the operation of and operations aboard the International Space Station, the European Union, and other countries or organizations as directed by NASA.
Within 30 calendar days of contract award, and at least quarterly thereafter, provide reports listing all actions necessary in the subsequent quarter to register or maintain NASA trademarks and copyrights as described above and each action’s applicable deadlines and costs.
Update and maintain NASA’s trademark and copyright docket spreadsheet. Provide updated versions of the spreadsheet annually and upon request by NASA.
Pursue cancellation of third-party trademarks and copyrights that may infringe or cause confusion with NASA marks or works. Provide advice to NASA’s Office of General Counsel regarding enforcement of NASA trademarks and copyrights overseas, including support to seizures of infringing goods by foreign law enforcement. Defend NASA marks and works against oppositions, challenges, cancellations, and other similar efforts by third parties or registration offices. Conduct face-to-face meetings at the contractor’s facilities.
