Procurement of a Robot Manipulator Arm

Background
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a robotic arm to be utilized by the Engineering Laboratory (EL) at their Gaithersburg, MD campus.

This procurement aims to benchmark the performance of robotic manipulators for additive manufacturing tasks. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) under simplified acquisition procedures, with a focus on small businesses.

Work Details
The contractor must provide a Robot Manipulator Arm that is brand name or equal to the Franka Research 3 Manipulator Arm. The specifications include:
- Quantity: 1
- Unit of Issue: LO
- Technical Specifications:
- 7 degrees of freedom
- Integrated joint torque sensors
- Power supply supporting a 120V utility power input
- Control software for movement and programming of force-aware robot action sequences, including one license with the robot. Software must support file transfer, have a graphical user interface for programming, joint-level control interface with force feedback, and integration with Robot Operating System (ROS).
- Delivery Date: 4 – 6 weeks after receipt of order. All items must be new; used or remanufactured equipment will not be considered.

4-6 weeks after receipt of order.
