The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New England District is issuing a Solicitation Notice for Procurement and Replacement of a Log Boom at North Hartland Lake, North Hartland, VT.

THE WORK CONSISTS OF: Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform the following work at North Hartland Lake.

Procure and Replace the Following:

  • Log boom wire rope with one inch (1 ) diameter continuous length, six by nineteen (6 X 19) galvanized, Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), approximately twenty- three hundred feet (2300') in length.
  • Twenty (20), twenty foot (20') long boom logs
  • Forty (40) log boom chains
  • Twelve (12) one inch (1 ) rope clamps
  • Two (2) one-inch (1 ) thimbles
  • The Contractor shall remove existing wire rope, deteriorated logs marked for removal, and used hardware (chains, clamps, and thimbles) to dispose of properly off site.
  • The Government may exercise an option for the supply and delivery of five (5) additional twenty foot (20') long booms to designated on site storage area.

This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 238990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $19 Million.

ALL VENDORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. ANY VENDOR THAT DOES NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE SAM.GOV REGISTRATION WILL BE REJECTED AS NON RESPONSIVE.

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – New England District is issuing a solicitation for the procurement and replacement of a log boom at North Hartland Lake, located in North Hartland, Vermont. The mission of the Corps is to provide vital engineering services to the nation, including flood risk management and environmental restoration.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the effective replacement of the log boom to maintain safety and operational efficiency at the lake.

Work Details
The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform the following tasks at North Hartland Lake:

1. Procure and replace log boom wire rope with a one-inch diameter continuous length, six by nineteen galvanized, Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), approximately 2,300 feet in length.

2. Supply twenty (20) twenty-foot long boom logs.

3. Provide forty (40) log boom chains.

4. Supply twelve (12) one-inch rope clamps.

5. Provide two (2) one-inch thimbles.

6. Remove existing wire rope, deteriorated logs marked for removal, and used hardware (chains, clamps, and thimbles) for proper disposal off-site. Additionally, there is an option for the supply and delivery of five (5) additional twenty-foot long booms to a designated on-site storage area.

Period of Performance
The work shall be completed no later than 270 days after the Notice to Proceed.
