Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 4, Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO 4), Commodities 1 is seeking information and potential qualified sources capable of providing two Probe Storage Cabinets for the VA Philadelphia Medical Center.
The goal is to procure equipment that will assist the Sterile Processing Service (SPS) in drying and securing surgical scopes, ensuring proper security and filtered air circulation.

Work Details
The VA Philadelphia Medical Center requires two Brand Name or Equal scope cabinets with the following specifications:
- Timed drying and venting cycles.
- Includes a drying and tracking unit, fan ventilation unit, filter and tubes, cabinet security lock, and a minimum 10-inch touchscreen.
- Utilizes HEPA filtered air with a retention rate of 99.9% for particles less than 0.1µm.
- Must have a medical-grade plug and be UL approved.
- Continuous venting of HEPA filter for safe storage of scopes.
- Adjustable scope managers for different lengths of scopes.
- Capacity to store at least 18 scopes with a removable drip tray.
- Dimensions must not exceed: External Width: 40 inches, External Depth: 21 inches, External Height: 92.5 inches, Internal Width: 38.50 inches, Internal Depth: 19.25 inches, Internal Height: 88.00 inches; must accommodate a scope hanging length of at least 78 inches.
- Utility requirements include: Electrical Requirements for Drying Unit - 120 VAC, 60Hz, 15-amp standard duplex receptacle; Compressor air output - maximum PSI of 4 with an average between 2.5-3 PSI; Flow rate for a drying cycle should be about 269 L with a maximum flow rate of up to 45 liters per minute; Compressor decibels should not exceed 62 dB with the drying unit closed; Electrical requirements for cabinet fan ventilation unit - Voltage rating: 115 VAC, Watts: 13.0 W, Amps: 0.19 A.
- All accessory components required for the ultrasonic to function upon install must be included.
