Work Details
The contractor will provide CMS with a license to access the Private Marketscan Commercial Health Insurance Claims Database through a secure data sharing portal. The services include:

1. Providing commercial claims data detailing total payments by provider and healthcare service using standard classification codes such as ICD-9, CPT, DRG, and NDC.

2. Supplying cost-sharing data that includes co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles.

3. Delivering utilization data that encompasses visits, stays, and prescriptions dispensed.

4. Offering demographic identifiers such as age and gender.

5. Supplying claim payer plan type information sourced from various private health insurance plans.

6. Providing technical support and documentation including a data dictionary or glossary of terms/data variables, responses to database-related inquiries, and documentation on methods used to construct the database.

7. Sending data quality notifications to the CMS Contracting Officer's Representative within three business days of identifying any data quality issues along with a remediation plan.

8. Ensuring Section 508 compliance support so that all data files and associated documentation meet ICT accessibility requirements.
