Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Audit Function

Background
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to gather insights on industry capabilities, available solutions, delivery approaches, and cost structures related to the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Audit Function.

This initiative aims to enhance compliance with federal standards in confinement facilities and ensure the safety and security of incarcerated individuals.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for several key tasks:

- Project Management, which includes planning, organizing, and overseeing resources to achieve programmatic objectives within budget; using project management tools; developing detailed project schedules; implementing quality assurance strategies; identifying project risks; and conducting outreach to stakeholders.

- Auditing tasks involve overseeing compliance audits of organizations' policies and practices against federal standards, making determinations on compliance, and developing corrective action plans.

- Auditor Training includes developing training programs for auditors on compliance standards, evidence collection, reporting findings, and using auditing tools.

The contractor will also collect and analyze audit data using software to identify patterns and trends, share data between systems, and ensure understanding of operations in various confinement facilities.
