Description

Preventative Maintenance Services for Guldman Patient Lifts that are currently being used at Micheal E DeBakey Medical Center.

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a contract for preventative maintenance services for Guldman patient lifts currently in use at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC).
The goal of this contract is to ensure that the patient lift equipment operates safely and efficiently, adhering to the latest standards and manufacturer requirements.

Work Details
The contractor will provide preventative maintenance (PM) on patient lift equipment as specified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Key tasks include:
1. Scheduled Maintenance: Conduct PM according to OEM standards and ISO 10535.
2. General Requirements:
- Proof of established business with full-time staff, including a qualified Field Service Engineer (FSE).
- Inspections must be performed by personnel approved by Guldmann, covering various lift systems (GH2, GH3, etc.).
- Availability during service to address questions from the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
- Comprehensive inspections of structure and function per manufacturer’s requirements.
- Completion of a Corrective and Preventive Maintenance Checklist for each lift inspected.
3. Specific Standards: Provide a detailed description of PM inspections upon completion, including cleaning, calibration, and remedial maintenance as necessary.
4. Weight testing with maximum load capacity for each lift system.
5. Coordination with nursing staff to ensure work is conducted in empty rooms only.
6. Documentation of all services performed must be provided electronically.
