Prescription Eyeglasses for VISN 6 (Bridge Contract)

Prescription Eyeglasses and Optician Services for VISN 6 Network Contracting Office 6 awarded a firm-fixed-price bridge contract on April 01, 2025 to Superior Optical Labs, Inc. to provide prescription eyeglasses supplies and optician services to the VISN 6 Veteran beneficiaries in accordance with FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items and specifically FAR 13.501 Special Documentation Requirements, where acquisitions conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, but still require a justification using the format of FAR 6.303-2. The requirement is to provide prescription eyeglasses, supplies, and optician services for six (6) month base period, and one (1) six (6) month option period of performance if needed. This will provide continued prescription eyeglasses supplies and optician services to VISN 6 Veteran beneficiaries while the National Optician contract is awarded.
