Background
The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is seeking qualified sources to provide precision cutting and grinding equipment, specifically Buehler Isomet and AutoMet brand products. This requirement is due to the compatibility specifications with existing equipment at the shipyard. The contract is aimed at small businesses, including those owned by service-disabled veterans and women, as part of a 100% Small Business Set-Aside initiative.

Work Details
The contract includes the following items:
1. **ISOMET HIGH SPEED PRO** - Designed for cutting with minimal deformation, featuring a horizontal, linear, and vertical blade movement axis (200-5000 RPM), tool-free vising system, and accepts blades between 3” to 8”. Includes various accessories such as a rapid rail post and blade dressing wheel.

2. **US Inspection, Single Machine** - Third-party inspection according to UL61010 standards performed at the Buehler location prior to shipping.

3. **T-SLOT TABLE-ISOMET HIGH SPEED (12mm)** - A table designed for use with the Isomet high-speed cutter.

4. **Aluminum Flange Set (2.5in & 1.75in)** - Sets for securing samples during cutting operations.

5. **Cool 3 Cutting Fluid** - A 33.8oz bottle of cutting fluid for use with the equipment.

6. **Sliding Vise (6in)** - A vise for holding workpieces securely during operation.

7. **AcuThin Blade (Stainless Steel, 7in)** - Two blades designed for precision cutting.

8. **IsoMet Blade (20HC, 7in)** - Three blades designed for high-performance cutting.

9. **AutoMet 300 Pro Grinder Polisher** - A semi-automated polishing system suitable for 10” or 12” platens with a high torque motor.

Period of Performance
Delivery is required by August 29, 2025.
