SPECIAL NOTICE

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is issuing a Special Notice regarding a Pre-Bid walk for the QOO ATCBI Building & Radome Tower, Anson, Texas. A Site Visit is being scheduled for April 17, 2023 at 12pm local time. Please provide a list of attendees to Jason.A.Fox@faa.gov & Janice.Hamonds@faa.gov if you will be attending. This Pre-Bid walk will be to review the requirement to perform a building demolition & new building fabrication along with site improvements including Radome work, in support of the Federal Aviation Administration.

Contractors must be properly registered in the Government System for Award Management database (SAM.gov).

This Special Notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the government. The US Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to the announcement. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is voluntary.

BASED ON THE REPSONSES TO THIS SPECIAL NOTICE. THIS REQUIREMENT WILL BE PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION IN THE FUTURE. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions.

Background
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is issuing a Special Notice for a Pre-Bid walk for the QOO ATCBI Building & Radome Tower in Anson, Texas. The walk is scheduled for April 17, 2023 at 12pm local time to review the requirement to perform a building demolition and new building fabrication along with site improvements including Radome work.

Work Details
Perform building demolition and fabricate a new building along with site improvements including Radome work.

Site improvements include: new access road, fencing changes and upgrades, new grading and horizontal control plan, erosion control, new curbing, asphaltic paving removal and new installation.

Architectural work: wall repair; door and frame removal, replacement, and adjustment; install new roof ladder and hatch; raise ceiling height; install removable stair and landing; install exterior elevator and handrails; new wall cladding; construct new CMU wall.

Structural work: backfill existing underground tunnel and add wall; add bracing to roof antennas; foundation and other structural details as needed.

Mechanical work: install new water storage tank with level controllers and leak detection system; ventilation for existing pump room; new AC units; exhaust fan and hydrogen sensors; various plumbing upgrades.

Electrical work: new power supplies for mechanical systems; lighting upgrades; install camera and intrusion detection system; install new addressable fire alarm detection and notification system; replace existing fire extinguishers; replace emergency lighting systems and egress signage.
