Description

The requirement is for wall repair (Construction Services).

The anticipated performance period is till the completion of the needed work,. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered.

The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract.

Background
The Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) of the U.S. Department of State requires construction services for wall repair at the Chief of Mission Residence and Embassy Compound in Damascus, Syria. The goal of this contract is to repair and restore the structural integrity of three perimeter wall sections, ensuring they meet safety standards while supporting U.S. diplomatic missions abroad.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:

1. Reviewing a structural study provided by ERGA GROUP OVERSEAS and developing a final repair plan that must be approved by OBO before any work begins.

2. Implementing methods to repair existing concrete walls and strengthen steel members through adequate bracing and anchorage connections.

3. Utilizing injection or compaction grouting to enhance the stability of existing rubble walls, which involves drilling and injecting grout material under pressure into the soil around the foundation.

4. Restoring areas around work sites to their original condition post-construction, including any tiled floors, gardens, paths, or lawns while ensuring no damage occurs to utilities.

5. Obtaining necessary permits for construction activities and ensuring compliance with local building codes and standards.

Period of Performance
The anticipated performance period is until the completion of the required work, with an expected duration of approximately 8 months from the notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the U.S. Embassy located between Al-Rawda Roundabout and Al-Maliki Roundabout in Damascus, Syria, specifically within the Embassy compound and at the Ambassador's Residence.
