PPIS INVERTER S/W CHANGE

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded a Firm-Fixed Price order to General Atomics, San Diego, CA, under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement, N00019-21-G-0014, for a correction to the Prime Power Interface Subsystem (PPIS) Inverter Software (SW) in support of the operation of the EMALS systems of the Ford Class of Carriers.

This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10 U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(l), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. This effort is covered under the Class Justification and Approval (CJ&A) number 21-0339. The redacted CJ&A is attached to the announcement.
