Potable Water Testing   2

Background
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) campuses in Boulder, CO, Fort Collins, CO, and Gaithersburg, MD, are equipped with drinking water fountains and potable water sinks throughout various buildings. The contractor shall complete the annual testing of all potable water within the buildings of NIST, Boulder CO, Fort Collins CO and Gaithersburg, MD. The contractor shall take the necessary water samples to adequately determine if the potable water is free of harmful levels of Aluminum, Copper, Lead, Cadmium, Zinc and Total Coliforms, as per the United States (US) EPA Primary and Secondary Drinking Water Standards for Maximum Containment Levels (MCLs).

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, facilities, supervision, and management unless otherwise specified herein. The contractor shall take appropriate water samples from all designated source locations. The range of test sources can fluctuate annually as current building modifications continue. The present quantities of test sources are eighty-five (85) sources in Boulder; four (4) sources in Fort Collins; and two-hundred-sixty-five (265) in Gaithersburg, MD. The contractor shall coordinate site access with the Representative (COR) or the Alternate Representative (ACOR) at least fourteen (14) days prior to any on-site sampling is to occur.

Period of Performance
Period of Performance: 10/01/2022 to 09/30/2023 for potable water testing services at Boulder and Fort Collins sites; 10/01/2022 to 09/30/2023 for potable water testing services at Gaithersburg site.

Place of Performance
All work shall be conducted at the NIST/Boulder (site-wide) 325 Broadway, Boulder, Colorado, 80305; NIST Fort Collins at Radio Station WWV 2000 E. County Rd. 58 Fort Collins, CO 80524; and NIST/Gaithersburg, MD (site-wide) 100 Bureau Drive Gaithersburg, MD 20899.
