RELATED NOTICE: N00019-20-RFPREQ-PMA-251-0132 and PMA251FY21SOFTWARE

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a Delivery Order under N0001922F0893, under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-21-G-0014, to General Atomics (GA), San Diego (CA) This contract is for the procurement of the effort and activity required for the correction of deficiencies identified during prior qualification cycles at the Contractor labs, NAWCAD test sites and on CVN-78 for the Block A21/A22 Sustainment phase of the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) for the Aircraft Carrier Nuclear Powered (CVN) 78 to help improve operator awareness and system availability for CVN 78 deployment period.The period of performance of this Order is from 04 January 2022 to 30 June 2023.

GA is the original designer, developer and manufacturer of the AAG system. GA is the sole designer and developer of the AAG systems. GA is the only company with the technical expertise, technical data and in-depth knowledge of both systems to provide the supplies and services that are critical to support and satisfy the USN's requirements.

The awarded contract is for the supplies or services for which the Government solicited and negotiated with only one source under the authority of Title 10, U.S. Code 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source', and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
