Description

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a Delivery Order under N00019-21-G-0014, to General Atomics (GA), San Diego (CA).This contract is for the procurement of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), ECP-I-Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) ECP-I-AAG-0122; ECP-I-AAG-0123; ECP-I-AAG-0124, in support of Ford Class Carrier CVN 78 to maintain and sustain system availability objectives. Supplies and services to be procured include both development and implementation activities to include delivery of updated Technical Drawings and Logistic Product Database updates required to support the system. The period of performance of this order is from 30 October 2026 to 30 September 2027.

GA is the original designer, developer and manufacturer of the AAG system. GA is the sole designer and developer of the AAG systems. GA is the only company with technical expertise, technical data and in-depth knowledge of both systems to provide the supplies and services that are critical to support and satisfy the USN's requirements.

The awarded contract is for the supplies or services for which the Government solicited and negotiated with only one source under the authority of Title 10, U.S. Code 2304 (c)(l), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, 'Only One Responsible Source', and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
