Description

The United States Capitol Police Office of Background Investigations and Credentialing requires contractor assistance in conducting pre-employment polygraph examinations on selected sworn and civilian applicants in accordance with USCP practices and procedures.

The USCP anticipates award of IDIQ type contract with a minimum of $50,000.00 and a maximum of $1,500,000.00. The United States Capitol Police (USCP) will issue Task Orders on a Firm Fixed Price basis. The resultant Contract will have a Base Period, which will be effective upon Contract execution and shall be effective for one year followed by four (4) one-year Option Periods.

Work Details
The purpose of the contract is to provide contractor assistance in conducting pre-employment polygraph examinations on selected sworn and civilian applicants in accordance with USCP practices and procedures. The unique mission of the Department of protecting the United States Congress and those who work and visit the congressional complex on a daily basis makes it imperative that the Department hire only those applicants that are above reproach. The Employment Suitability Division is responsible for conducting background investigations on potential employees to ensure that the Department hires only the best-qualified applicants into positions of trust. The polygraph examination is an integral component of the investigative process to ensure the integrity of the Department and the safety of the Congressional Community.

Period of Performance
The resultant Contract will have a Base Period, which will be effective upon Contract execution and shall be effective for one year followed by four (4) one-year Option Periods.

Place of Performance
The Contractor shall be able to accommodate and administer up to 80 polygraph examinations per month at USCP examination facilities.
