Poker Jim and Green Creek Cultural Resources Survey

The Custer Gallatin Ashland Ranger District is proposing a cultural resource management project consisting of a Class III 100% level inventory of 3455 acres of National Forest lands on the Ashland District of the CGNF, Montana within the 4990-acre Area of Potential Effect for the Poker Jim/Green Creek Vegetation management project area (Map 1). The purpose of the inventory is to locate, map, record and evaluate all cultural resources within the Area of Potential Effect. The CGNF is aware of 13 previously recorded cultural resources within the Area of Potential Effect The project area is in Powder River County, south and east of the town of Ashland, MT. Map 1 displays the project area. GIS data of the Area of Potential Effect will be made available at the time of award.
