Travis AFB requests mold abatement in accordance with (IAW) the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Background
The solicitation is for mold abatement services at Travis Air Force Base, CA. The work involves the removal of mold and water-damaged materials, as well as the replacement of insulation, drywall, texture, priming, and painting. The contractor is responsible for creating a negative pressure enclosure and isolating work areas above the ceiling using critical barriers. All work must be performed in strict accordance with the specifications outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Work Details
The contractor shall be responsible for demolition of existing drywall materials, removing cove base in affected office walls, removing damaged portions of suspended grid systems on the ceiling, and cleaning wall cavities. Additionally, the contractor must remove approximately 560 square yards of drywall and interior materials with visible signs of microbial growth and water damage, as well as damaged pipe and duct insulation. The contractor is also required to perform air sample testing prior to the removal of containment and provide OSHA notification for this class 2 non-friable asbestos & mold project. All mold remediation work must be accomplished by mold remediation certified/trained workers.
