Pipette Calibration Services

Background
The United States Army is planning to procure on-site calibration services for laboratory pipettes at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), located in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all laboratory pipettes are calibrated to accreditation standards, which includes providing documentation for all services performed. This requirement is part of the Medical Readiness Contracting Office-West's efforts to maintain high standards in clinical reference laboratory testing services.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide the following services and items:
1. On-site calibration services for all laboratory pipettes to accreditation standards, including documentation for accreditation inspections.
2. Coordination of on-site service with BAMC representatives at least two weeks in advance, aiming to complete services within five business days or less.
3. Copies of all calibrations, services, repairs, or replacements will be provided to the government for validation and record-keeping.
4. The Contractor is responsible for transportation and travel requirements to get personnel on-site and will invoice a one-time fee as outlined in the CLIN on the purchase request/contract.
5. Notification to the COR and laboratory Officer in Charge of any required repairs or replacements.
6. Onsite repairs are preferred; if not possible, pipettes will be shipped for service or replacement and returned within 14 business days unless otherwise agreed upon.
7. Costs associated with repairs and replacements will be billed according to the defined CLIN per the purchase request/contract, with a stipulation that costs should not exceed those outlined unless modified by mutual agreement with the government.
8. Certified individuals must perform on-site services and pass a background check to obtain necessary access passes for Fort Sam Houston.

Period of Performance
Base year: 01 Oct 2025 – 30 Sep 2026; Option Year 1: 01 Oct 2026 – 30 Sep 2027; Option Year 2: 01 Oct 2027 – 30 Sep 2028; Option Year 3: 01 Oct 2028 – 30 Sep 2029; Option Year 4: 01 Oct 2029 – 30 Sep 2030.
