Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office is seeking a contract for Pipeline Maintenance Dredging of the Matagorda Ship Channel in Matagorda and Calhoun Counties, Texas. This project aims to maintain navigability and safety in the ship channel, which is crucial for maritime operations in the region.

Work Details
The work consists of:

- Schedule 1 includes dredging approximately 1,738,000 cubic yards (CY) of the Matagorda Ship Channel, Sections 1 thru 11.

- Option 1 includes dredging approximately 1,879,000 CY of the Matagorda Ship Channel, Sections 12 thru 22 with an additional time allowance of 108 calendar days.

- Option 2 involves dredging approximately 159,000 CY of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, Sections 23 thru 24 with an additional time allowance of 16 calendar days.

There are option periods that include optional Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) for repeated performance of the work described. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the specified time frame, they will incur liquidated damages for each calendar day of delay until completion or acceptance. The contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed price with an estimated magnitude between $25 million and $100 million.
