PIP-II Niobium Sheets, Rings, and Disks

Background
Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL), managed by Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC (FFDG) under a prime contract with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is soliciting proposals for Niobium and Niobium Alloy Sheets, Rings, and Disks in support of the Proton Improvement Plan II (PIP-II) project. This project aims to upgrade Fermilab’s accelerator complex to enable high-energy neutrino beams for the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment at LBNF, facilitating significant discoveries in physics for decades.

Work Details
The contract requires the manufacturing, testing, certification, and delivery of various Niobium and Niobium-Alloy products as specified below:

1. RRR300 Niobium Sheet 559mm X 559mm X 4.1mm thick
2. RRR300 Niobium sheet 396mm X 325mm X 4.1mm thick
3. RRR300 Niobium Sheet 237mm X 121mm X 2.5mm thick
4. Nb55Ti Rings 358mm OD X 130mm ID X 28mm thick
5. RRR300 Forged Niobium Ring 138mm OD X 115mm ID X 37mm thick
6. Nb55Ti Ring 237mm OD X 130mm ID X 38mm Thick
7. Nb55Ti Disk 202mm OD X 25mm thick
8. Nb55Ti Disk 145mm OD X 25mm thick
9. RRR300 Niobium Sheet 655mm X 196mm X 4.1mm Thick
10. Material Certifications - Required Upon Delivery.

Period of Performance
The proposal must include a proposed delivery date upon receipt of award.

Place of Performance
Delivery will be made to Batavia, Illinois.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a small business subcontracting plan if they do not meet the definition of a small business and if the subcontract exceeds $750,000. The plan should establish measurable goals for participation by various categories of small businesses including Small Business (SB), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and HUBZone Small Business.
