This project includes repaving the existing parking lot and installing a new electronic gate with fencing at the Pikes Peak Ranger District Office, located in the city of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Refer to the attached SOW, SOI, Drawings/Plans and Specifications for more details on this project. In addition, see the SOW, Attachment 1, for details on the site visit scheduled for December 10, 2024.

Background
The Pikes Peak Ranger District Office is undertaking a project to enhance its parking lot facilities. The goal of this contract is to repave the existing parking lot and install a new electronic gate with fencing to improve security and accessibility at the office located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Work Details
The base project scope of work includes:

1. Mobilization;
2. Quality control, survey, and staking;
3. Demolition of existing asphalt pavement, concrete curb, and a portion of the security fence and gate;
4. Subgrade preparation including disposal of excess excavation off NFS lands;
5. Aggregate base placement;
6. Asphalt pavement placement;
7. Construction of concrete driveway and curb;
8. Pavement striping and installation of new electronic cantilever gate with accompanying barb wire chain link fence, gate operator, electronic keypad, bollards to protect keypad, and associated appurtenances;
9. Construction quality control including supplying all personnel, equipment, tests, and reports necessary to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications;
10. Option Work Items include:
a) Group A: Demolition of entire existing perimeter chain link fence and installation of new chain link fence with barb wire with manual gates OR
b) Group B: Installation of barbed wire arms and 3-strand barbed wire along existing perimeter chain link fence on the south side of the lot.

Period of Performance
The estimated period of performance for this contract is from March 1, 2025, through August 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Pikes Peak Ranger District Office located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
