Background
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking to procure welded shielding supplies as part of their ongoing efforts to enhance the capabilities of the NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR).

The NCNR requires neutron and gamma ray shielding to protect personnel and ensure data integrity during experiments. This solicitation aims to acquire a number of complete filled and painted shield walls and roofs, specifically designed according to NG5 and NG7 guidelines.

Work Details
The contractor shall deliver a total of 8 fully welded dry fit shield tank walls and roofs, which will be tested for fit before final modifications are made. The shields must be filled with steel shot and paraffin wax, adhering to specified weight tolerances.

Period of Performance
Delivery shall occur no sooner than and no later than May 1, 2025.
