The Medical Readiness Contracting Office West (MRCO-W), Fort Sam Houston, TX has a requirement to obtain personal services for 73 Full Time Equivalent (FTEs), comprised of 31 FTEs Surgical Technologists (Operating Room-OR), two (2) FTEs Cardiothoracic Surgical Technologists (CT Surg Techs), and 40 FTEs Central Sterile Supply Technicians
(Sterilization/Processing/Distribution-SPD) to support Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) at Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Background
The Medical Readiness Contracting Office – West (MRCO-W), Fort Sam Houston, TX has a requirement to obtain personal services for 73 Full Time Equivalent (FTEs), comprised of 31 FTEs Surgical Technologists (Operating Room-OR), two (2) FTEs Cardiothoracic Surgical Technologists (CT Surg Techs), and 40 FTEs Central Sterile Supply Technicians to support Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) at Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston, TX. BAMC is a 425-bed Academic Medical Center, the DoD’s largest in-patient hospital and only Level I Trauma Center. BAMC is staffed by more than 8,000 personnel providing care to wounded Service Members and the San Antonio Community at-large. The mission of the Military Healthcare System (MHS) is to enhance our Nation’s security by ensuring the nation has a healthy military force capable of providing the full range of military operations, supported by a combat-ready healthcare system sustaining the health of DoD beneficiaries.

Work Details
This is a personal services contract intended to create an employer-employee relationship between the government and individual contract Health Care Providers (HCPs). The Contractor shall provide Technician Services in support of the Department of Operative Services (DOPS) at the Brooke Army Medical Center. The positions have been designated as Emergency Essential Personnel and shall be required to report to work in accordance with Medical Treatment Facility policy.
All contract personnel shall possess qualifications meeting or exceeding national standards as established by The Joint Commission (TJC). Services provided under this contract shall be as comprehensive as Government-supplied facilities, equipment, and support services permit.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2028.

The geographic location for performance of this contract is at Brooke Army Medical Center, located on Fort Sam Houston, TX.
