Synopsis:

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Peripherals for ADT dicing saw.

NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to ADVANCED DICING TECHNOLOGIES INC 1155 Business Center DR Suite 120 Horsham, Pennsylvania 19044-3422 United States under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). It has been determined that ADVANCED DICING TECHNOLOGIES INC is the sole provider of Peripherals for ADT dicing saw.

NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Glenn Research Center (GRC).

The Government intends to acquire commercial items and services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334519

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12 p.m. Central Standard Time on Select Date. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.

Background
NASA/NSSC has a requirement for peripherals for the ADT dicing saw. The contract will be awarded to ADVANCED DICING TECHNOLOGIES INC, located at 1155 Business Center DR Suite 120, Horsham, Pennsylvania 19044-3422, United States. It has been determined that ADVANCED DICING TECHNOLOGIES INC is the sole provider of these peripherals. NASA/NSSC will act as the procuring center for this effort, which will take place at NASA/Glenn Research Center (GRC).

The mission of this procurement is to acquire commercial items and services that support the development of silicon carbide (SiC) integrated circuits and sensors for aerospace applications.

Work Details
The contract involves the delivery of specific peripherals compatible with the automated dicing saw from Advanced Dicing Technologies for dicing processed silicon carbide and silicon wafers. The desired capabilities/specifications include:

1. All parts must be new.
2. An LED UV Curing System designed for post-dicing UV tape curing, capable of nitrogen flow onto the sample during UV curing, with nitrogen flow control and pressure valve with gauge; UV intensity controllable from 0-100%.
3. A dicing tape/frame mounting station that supports both UV and regular dicing tape, accommodates up to 8” Wafer Dicing Film Frames, includes a programmable chuck temperature controller, closed-loop temperature-controlled platen (up to 70 deg.C), automatic reeling and removal system for UV tape backing, internal vacuum pump to hold the workpiece in place, adjustable roller pressure, anti-static roller, static eliminator for both frame options, alignment pins for orientating film frame, magnets to secure the frame during wafer mounting, and engraved markings on chuck for centering and alignment of wafers; includes a 6-inch and 8-inch round groove chuck.
4. Documented use in government/academic/semiconductor R&D facilities is required.
