Perimeter Security Assets

Background
The United States Secret Service (USSS) is responsible for protecting high-profile individuals, including the President and Vice President, and coordinating security operations for National Special Security Events (NSSEs).
The agency aims to ensure the safety of event attendees and the local community by developing operational security plans.
With increasing threats to major events, the USSS requires advanced physical security perimeter materials and technologies to safeguard individuals and the public effectively.
This solicitation seeks multiple firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts to small business concerns for acquiring perimeter assets to support these operational needs.

Work Details
The contractor will provide temporary perimeter security assets and comprehensive coordination services for NSSEs.
Key tasks include:
1. Facilitating planning, acquisition, and coordination of various types of temporary security perimeter solutions.
2. Ensuring that security operations are executed on schedule, within budget, and meet technical requirements.
3. Providing technical consultation services during the planning period for events.
4. Coordinating set-up, breakdown, and transportation of perimeter security assets.
5. Developing perimeter plans to prevent unauthorized access by individuals and vehicles, facilitate crowd control, and secure controlled screening areas.
6. Participating in planning walk-throughs at site venues with USSS officials.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for this contract is five years from contract award, with specific timelines for installation and removal of perimeter security assets provided in individual task orders.

Place of Performance
Initial project management will occur at the contractor's facility; however, essential personnel must participate in early-stage planning meetings in Washington, DC, and conduct operations from event sites starting as early as 30 days prior to an event.
