PERI 152541 Fabrication and Installation of Two New Entrance Signs
Background
Pea Ridge National Military Park (PERI) was created by an act of Congress in 1956 to preserve the battlefield of the 1862 Battle of Pea Ridge. It is located in northwest Arkansas near the Missouri border and is one of the most intact Civil War battlefields in the United States. The purpose of this contract is to provide the design, fabrication, and installation of two entrance signs at PERI.

Work Details
The contract requires the fabrication and installation of two new entrance signs at Pea Ridge National Military Park. The signs will be located on the east and west sides of the main entrance from Highway 62. Each sign will include wood panels, a custom monolithic base with a side column constructed with Indiana Limestone veneer or similar, a stone cap for the monolithic base and side column, NPS arrowhead, and a 12-Pounder Napoleon cannon reproduction. Additionally, concrete flatwork will be required to connect the existing sidewalk to a new viewing pad.
