Description

Solicitation for the Performance Readiness Bar. The Performance Readiness Bar is designed to serve as a supplement to be consumed at night; the bar provides additional nutrients, specifically Vitamin D3 and Calcium, to the warfighter's diet on top of the three meals to support vigorous training. It was introduced by the army in an effort to reduce the level of stress fractures and nutritional deficiencies.

Background
The Performance Readiness Bar is designed to serve as a supplement to be consumed at night; the bar provides additional nutrients, specifically Vitamin D3 and Calcium, to the warfighter’s diet on top of the three meals to support vigorous training. It was introduced by the army in an effort to reduce the level of stress fractures and nutritional deficiencies.

Work Details
The estimated yearly quantities for the Performance Readiness Bar flavors are:
- Chocolate: 1,600,000
- Salted Caramel: 1,200,000
- Tart Cherry Berry: 1,200,000.
The Indefinite-Quantity Contract (IQC) minimum and maximum quantities for each flavor are also provided. The delivery schedule includes specified locations such as Fort Benning, Fort Jackson, Fort Sill, and Fort Leonard Wood. The effective term of the contract will contain three consecutive tiered delivery periods, with each tier being 365 days in length.

Place of Performance
Delivery must be made to the specified delivery destination at no additional cost to the Government. Actual ordering quantities and shipping information will be provided in individual delivery orders.
