Background
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, is overseeing the Remote Delivery Facility (RDF) Structural Strengthening Program at the Pentagon Reservation in Arlington, Virginia. The goal is to retrofit and convert the RDF roof helipad system to sustain safe operations for military helicopters without compromising structural integrity.

Work Details
The contract involves structural strengthening of the RDF roof, including concrete roof system and helipad repairs. Tasks include retrofitting the existing concrete structure with carbon fiber reinforced polymer and concrete slab and beam section enlargement, maintaining existing finish grades, and ensuring waterproofing.

The project also requires adjustments to exterior site, environmental systems, air traffic control, electrical systems, drainage, backfill, waterproofing, and irrigation systems. Additional tasks involve protecting and repairing stone cladding, maintaining thermal and moisture protection, safeguarding openings and finishes during construction activities, and coordinating utility impacts. The contractor must also manage tenant meetings and coordinate with other government contractors for IT cabling installation and security infrastructure.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is not to exceed 626 calendar days from the issuance of Notice to Proceed.
