Background
The justification and approval (JA-25-Rock Island/EIS-0615) is for Pega Products and Ancillary Services in support of the Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A). The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Rock Island intends to award a sole-source Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to Pegasystems Inc. This contract is essential for addressing the Army's need for complex workflow automation, case management, and rules-based decision-making, particularly in systems like Disconnected Operations (DISCOPS). Pegasystems' proprietary platform allows rapid application development with minimal coding, which is crucial for ongoing operations and initiatives like DISCOPS.

Work Details
The IDIQ will provide Pega Products and Ancillary Services including core software, development support, sustainment and enhancement, Agile execution, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD). The contract aims to correct deficiencies in the current DISCOPS solution, complete its deployment support to the GCSS-Army Product Office, and address a backlog of requirements using Agile development methodology integrated with DevSecOps practices. The project will also focus on defect remediation for issues identified during technical demonstrations of the current DISCOPS prototype. The planned IDIQ is structured for five years with five ordering periods.
