Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has issued a solicitation for Patient Porter Services at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System. The contractor will serve as the liaison between patients and the staff, providing assistance to meet unresolved needs and optimizing the comprehensive experience of veterans and their family members.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide Hospital Patient Porters for the VA at the Audie L. Murphy Veterans Memorial Hospital and Campus in San Antonio, Texas. The services include serving as greeters, providing assistance with navigation, communication about VA services, transportation of patients within the campus, and other related duties. The contract period of performance is a 12-month base period with one option year, and the services will be performed Monday through Friday excluding federal holidays.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance is from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025, for the base year, with an option year from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Audie L. Murphy Veterans Memorial Hospital, located at 7400 Merton Minter Blvd, San Antonio, Texas 78229.
