Background
The VA Northern California Healthcare System is seeking quotes for a customizable communication platform, specifically a digital signage solution known as PatientPoint or an equivalent product. - The digital signage will deliver educational content, promote service lines, inform visitors about hospital policies, and provide health-related information.
- The system must support customizable content for different locations and include features such as video playback, pre-loaded creative tools, and a dedicated customer service representative for content updates.
- The vendor is responsible for troubleshooting issues within specified timeframes and ensuring all installations meet quality standards.

Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail)
This opportunity appears to have a confirmed incumbent based on prior award 36C26123P1211, awarded to Choisys Technology for “PATIENT COMMUNICATION BOARDS” valued at $1,216,638 (06/12/23–06/11/28). The current requirement for PatientPoint or an equivalent digital signage solution includes installing multiple patient communication boards/signs, providing message management software, and supporting content updates and maintenance—activities that align closely with the prior patient communication board scope and suggest a continuation of the same type of system deployment and ongoing support.
