Background
The Parks Ranger District is seeking proposals for the Parks Ranger District Fire Work Center Roof Replacement. The Parks Ranger District Fire Work Center is a 510 square foot, single-story, lightwood-framed, slab-on-grade structure constructed in 1958. The roof of the Parks Ranger District Fire Work Center is constructed of wood shake shingles and covers approximately 758 square feet with an 8/12 pitch. The structure is used year-round as a fire crew workshop and equipment storeroom. The lack of adequate weather protection necessitates an immediate replacement which meets current Forest Service requirements.

Work Details
The scope of this project includes removing and disposing of the existing roofing system, including perimeter, blocking material, and sheathing, and furnishing and installing a weather and watertight Structure Standing Seam Roofing System (SSSRS). The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, tools, equipment, and services for all preformed roofing as indicated in accordance with the provisions of this contract/statement of work (SOW). The Contractor shall coordinate with the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) no less than seven calendar days prior to the estimated project start date.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall complete the Parks Ranger District Fire Work Center roof replacement in accordance with the specifications and requirements between August 28th, 2023 and October 29th, 2023.
