Background
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, through its Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, is seeking to award a contract for Parking Garage/Parking Lot Services. The goal of this contract is to secure 150 unreserved parking spaces for the U.S. Department of Justice, specifically for the Federal Bureau of Prisons at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) located at 535 N. Alameda Street, Los Angeles, California 90012.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide a total of 275 parking passes to allow staff access to the 150 unreserved parking spaces. These passes will not be used simultaneously due to three 8-hour work shifts. The contractor is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for all staff and their vehicles parked at the facility.

The parking area must be within 'reasonable walking distance' (less than .3333 miles) from the MDC to facilitate timely responses to emergencies. The contractor shall provide a paved and illuminated parking area that meets industry standards (minimum four candlelight power) and maintain it in a clean and safe condition, adhering to all Local, State, and Federal Regulations.

If access is controlled by gates or attendants, staff must have ease of access 24/7. The contractor will supply key cards at no additional cost; lost or damaged cards will incur a maximum replacement fee of $25. Access cards must be replaced as staff changes occur within the program.
