Papago Park

Background
The project is located in Papago Park, within the Phoenix, AZ metro area. The contract is issued for the demolition of the existing POL operations building and associated construction tasks. The goal of the contract is to relocate the existing Automatic Tank Gauge (ATG) console, provide a new Veeder Root TLS-450 ATG, and ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations during construction activities.

Work Details
The scope of work includes: relocating the existing ATG console; providing a new Veeder Root TLS-450 ATG; demolishing the existing POL operations building; capping off existing water and sewer lines; removing concrete foundations and excavating; constructing asphalt pavement; adjusting the fence line; removing and disposing of a failed offload/fillstand canopy and replacing it with a new one.

The contractor is required to phase their work to minimize disruption to existing fuel operations, submit a phasing plan for approval, and notify the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) at least 10 days in advance of any disruptions. Civil site development must adhere to federal, state, and local requirements, including design references such as Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. The contractor must also ensure environmental compliance by preparing an Environmental Protection Plan that addresses waste management, hazardous materials handling, and sustainability goals.
