Palomar Ranger District Janitorial

Background
The contract is issued by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) for janitorial services at the Palomar Ranger District Office, located in the Cleveland National Forest. The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for the office, which supports the agency's mission of managing national forests and grasslands.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment, transportation, labor, and supervision to complete janitorial services. Services include cleaning floors, restrooms, offices, break rooms, kitchenettes, and emptying trash/recycle bins. Specific tasks outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) include:
- Cleaning all carpeted and non-carpeted floors.
- Disinfecting restroom fixtures and maintaining cleanliness in all areas including break rooms and conference rooms.
- Monthly tasks such as polishing flooring and removing cobwebs.
- Quarterly cleaning of windows inside and out.
- Annual deep cleaning of carpets and non-carpet floors.
- Ensuring that all surfaces are free from dust, stains, and debris.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified period starting from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed, with work scheduled primarily between 5 PM to 9 PM on Wednesdays and either Saturdays or Sundays.

Palomar Ranger District Office, 1634 Black Canyon Road, Ramona, CA 92065.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet specific requirements including being a small business as this is a 'Small Business Set Aside - Total (SBA)'. Contractors must provide proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance or valid exemption. Additionally, personnel must pass HSPD-12 Background Investigations for unaccompanied access to facilities.
