Painting Services as described in the Statement of Work in Section C

Background
The U.S. Embassy in Burundi is seeking to award a contract for painting services to maintain the physical appearance of its facilities. The goal is to ensure that both the interior and exterior of various buildings are properly painted to meet aesthetic and durability standards, particularly in response to deteriorating conditions.

This contract aims to enhance the overall image of U.S. government facilities in Bujumbura.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for painting the exterior and interior of multiple buildings as specified in Section 2.7 of the Statement of Work (SOW). Key tasks include:
1. Exterior Painting: Remove deteriorating paint, sand surfaces, and apply corrosion-resistant paint according to manufacturer specifications. Three coats are required for metal hardware.
2. Interior Painting: Ensure a uniform color appearance without stains or noticeable strokes, using high-quality paint guaranteed to last at least three years under local climate conditions.
3. Specific Buildings: The contractor must paint various structures including the Chancery Building, MSGQ Building, Utility Building, Warehouse/Annex Building, Pool Cabana, and others with specified square meterages for each area.
4. Safety and Coordination: Provide necessary scaffolding and equipment while ensuring minimal disruption to embassy operations during occupied hours.
5. Deliverables: Submit detailed proposals including personnel qualifications, project management plans, safety plans, quality control schedules, and a bill of materials.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to be completed within 90 working days from the date of contract award.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the U.S. Embassy compound located in Bujumbura, Burundi.
