QUOTE REQUEST FOR PAINTING REVITALIZATION AT THEODORE ROOSEVELT NWR.
Background
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a painting revitalization project at the Theodore Roosevelt National Wildlife Refuge (NWR). The goal of this contract is to enhance the appearance and longevity of the facilities through comprehensive painting work, ensuring that the structures are well-maintained and visually appealing.

Work Details
The project involves painting revitalization of two office building facilities: Yazoo NWR and Panther Swamp NWR. The contractor shall supply all necessary materials and labor to complete the project, including but not limited to:

- Removing all gutters and downspouts prior to any pressure washing, scraping, or preparatory work.
- Handrails must be removed, recoated with textured, cold galvanized finish, and replaced in original location with new stainless-steel fasteners.
- Cleaning and preparing front, back, and side porch ceilings for finishing.
- Applying at least 3 coats of exterior acrylic solid color stain to all exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, trim, ledgers, soffits, rakes, etc.

Special instructions include:

- Contractors are not allowed to stand or work from roof surfaces.
- Equipment cleaning on site is prohibited unless a catchment system is used.
- Proper disposal of all products (stain, caulk, paint thinner, etc.) offsite per local and federal guidelines is required.
- All trash and garbage related to the work or employees must be removed offsite as there are no garbage receptacles available for use.
- A magnet must be used to collect all dropped screws and nails.
- Contractors will be required to obtain all necessary federal, state, or local permits.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance is from September 2, 2025 to September 8, 2025.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Theodore Roosevelt National Wildlife Refuge located in Hollendale, Mississippi.
