Background
The General Services Administration (GSA) is issuing this contract for a painting and siding refresh and replacement project at the Land Port of Entry located in Orient, Maine. The goal of this contract is to enhance the facility's exterior while ensuring compliance with historic preservation standards, as the building may be eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Renovation and modernization of the building's exterior through painting and siding replacement.
2. Compliance with historic treatment procedures as outlined by the Department of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.
3. Execution of tasks involving architectural, civil, structural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, elevator, and telecommunications disciplines.
4. Conducting hazardous material abatement (e.g., asbestos, lead) as necessary.
5. Implementation of noise control measures during construction activities.
6. Preparation and submission of a Historic Treatment Procedures Plan detailing methods for preserving historic materials during renovation.
