This is a sole source contract action to Big Tree Mobile Home and RV Park, at 6130
Broad Street Brooksville, FL 34601 Hernando County for the monthly lease of four
(4) Mobile Home Unit (MHU) lots / pads from this Commercial Park required to place
temporary housing units for Applicants requesting assistance as a result of Hurricanes Helene
and Milton. Per the Stafford Act, the length of the Direct Housing Assistance Program is 18
months from the Presidential Disaster Declaration (9/28/2024 for Hurricane Helene, and
10/11/2024 for Hurricane Milton), pending extensions determined by US Congress.

Background
This contract action is a sole source justification for the monthly lease of four Mobile Home Unit (MHU) lots at Big Tree Mobile Home and RV Park located in Brooksville, Florida.

This action is necessary to provide temporary housing units for applicants seeking assistance due to the impacts of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The contract aligns with the Direct Housing Assistance Program established under the Stafford Act, which allows for assistance following a Presidential Disaster Declaration.

Work Details
The contractor will provide four Mobile Home Unit (MHU) lots/pads at Big Tree Mobile Home and RV Park.

The anticipated price for the lease will be determined fair and reasonable based on market research, which involved phone calls to ten potential vendors in the state.
