Background
The U.S. Government, specifically the Department of Defense (DoD), is seeking to procure services for the packing, containerization, and local drayage of personal property shipments through the Direct Procurement Method (DPM) at Fort Benning, Georgia.

The goal of this contract is to facilitate the movement and storage of personal property for DoD personnel, ensuring efficient and effective handling of their belongings during relocations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services, and materials necessary for the preparation of personal property for shipment or storage.

Key tasks include:
1. Conducting a premove survey to assess the nature of personal property;
2. Weighing shipments using certified scales;
3. Containerization of personal property for domestic or overseas movement;
4. Handling inbound shipments including decontainerization;
5. Providing adequate supervision and labor;
6. Supplying all necessary packing materials such as boxes, tape, and labels;
7. Ensuring quality control through established metrics;
8. Maintaining documentation accuracy for billing and reporting purposes;
9. Performing reweigh services as needed;
10. Adhering to commercial standards and best practices in service delivery.
