Description

Logistics Readiness Center has the mission of providing transportation and logistic Support Services to provide moving services in the local area to Fort Gordon soldiers. The goal is to support mission accomplishment by providing preparation, packing, loading and containerization of local moves for Fort Gordon soldiers. To meet this goal, close coordination is required between the Contractor and Contracting Officer's representative (COR) to efficiently provide transportation & Logistics Services. The contractor will perform all preparation and packing, provide all exterior containerization services and local drayage.

Background
The Logistics Readiness Center is tasked with providing transportation and logistics support services to facilitate moving services for soldiers at Fort Gordon. The primary goal of this contract is to ensure mission accomplishment by delivering comprehensive preparation, packing, loading, and containerization services for local moves involving Fort Gordon soldiers. The contractor must closely coordinate with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) to efficiently provide these transportation and logistics services.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for all personnel, labor, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items or services necessary to perform packing and crating services in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). This includes:

1. Outbound Services in three designated areas throughout Georgia and South Carolina.
2. Intra-City Services in the same regions.
3. Inbound Services for receiving shipments in the specified areas. Each service type requires adherence to specific tasks outlined in the PWS and compliance with commercial standards of service.

Period of Performance
The contract will be executed over a period of one base year starting from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, followed by four additional option years each lasting twelve months and an optional six-month extension.

Place of Performance
The contract services will be performed in various locations throughout Georgia and South Carolina as defined in the Performance Work Statement.
