PacBio sequencing reagents

Background
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order to Pacific Biosciences of California, Inc. for the procurement of sequencing reagents.

The NIH Intramural Sequencing Center (NISC) serves as a centralized research facility focused on high-throughput, large-scale DNA sequencing and sequence analysis. The center prepares specialized libraries for generating extremely long sequencing reads from unamplified DNA or RNA using the Pacific Biosciences Revio sequencer.

Pacific Biosciences is the sole provider of the necessary SMRT cells and sequencing reagents required for the operation of the Revio sequencer, which are specially configured for this instrument and its operational requirements.

Work Details
The contract involves the supply of PacBio sequencing reagents that are compatible with the Revio sequencer. The required materials include proprietary library reagents such as specialized adapters and enzymes that are exclusively available from Pacific Biosciences.

These reagents are essential to meet the sequencing demands of NISC and cannot be sourced from other vendors.

Period of Performance
It is anticipated that an award will be issued approximately ten (10) days after the date of this notice.

Place of Performance
The products will be delivered to the NIH Intramural Sequencing Center (NISC).
