Background
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is issuing this solicitation for the rehabilitation of the Feed House building at the Lamar Fish Technology Center in Lamar, Pennsylvania. The project aims to transform the existing facility into an isolation center for wild-sourced eggs from the Great Lakes, focusing on Coregonine fish restoration. This initiative is crucial for conducting necessary fish health inspections before integrating these eggs into hatchery production, research, or distribution.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive design, engineering, and construction services for the rehabilitation of the Feed House building, originally built in 1951 and measuring approximately 1,768 square feet. Key tasks include:
- Developing an isolation system to separate incoming fish from existing stocks.
- Implementing a recirculation system to minimize water discharge and enhance temperature control for optimal hatching conditions.
- Partitioning systems for managing eggs and fish pre- and post-health testing.

The government will handle interior demolition and hazardous material removal prior to contractor engagement.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is from September 27, 2025, to November 11, 2026.

The construction projects will be performed at the Lamar Fish Technology Center located at 227 Washington Ave., Lamar, PA 16848.
