Background
The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Atlantic (NAVFAC LANT) is hosting an Industry Day Event for the Electrical Distribution System Upgrades at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia.

The purpose of this event is to provide contractors with updates, allow them to ask questions, and gather feedback regarding the proposed Military Construction Project (MILCON) P732 Design-Bid-Build. This project aims to enhance the electrical distribution system at the naval station.

Work Details
The project scope includes several major components:
1. **Navy Gosport Tie Station**: Construct an above-ground prefabricated distribution substation with interior equipment above a concrete vault.
2. **Underground Utilities**: Construct an underground duct bank connecting from Dominion Energy Virginia service connection point through the tie station and to existing circuits in manholes and vaults. Additional manholes and vaults will be constructed as needed for temporary services.
3. **Temporary Works**: Construct temporary connections to support ongoing construction efforts and prevent service interruptions.
4. **Demolition**: Remove and demolish all abandoned equipment, structures, and systems once new facilities are operational; no items shall be left abandoned in place.
